Their help center is clear about it: once you cancel your account, you lose access to all prior information and your data gets deleted. There's no grace period to come back and grab what you missed. If you've been running the platform for two years and need to pull historical punch records for a wage dispute or an audit six months after you've moved on, that data is gone. The workaround is to download everything you need through the reporting options before you hit that cancel button. Buddy Punch supports CSV, Excel, and PDF exports across its report types, so the tools are there. But the burden is entirely on you to think ahead and pull those files while your account is still active. I'd recommend scheduling a full export of every report type at least quarterly, regardless of whether you're planning to leave.

The annual billing discount is real, but it comes with a catch the pricing page doesn't emphasize. Annual plans cannot be downgraded until the end of the annual term, and there are no refunds on partial usage.
